Congratulations!

You have made the big move ... registering and becoming a part of our school.

Please keep in mind the following points:

Train seriously, but remember to take it easy on yourself.
Go at your own pace and learn at your own speed. You are competing only against yourself, not against anyone else.
Inwardly, the most important things are to develop a sense of center and to keep a positive state of mind.
Learn both the falling and the throwing aspects of each demonstrated form. As a beginner, however, make sure your falling skills are there.
Make use of the first 30 minutes of each two hour class (designated as beginners/free mat) to adequately warm up. That means to stretch, make sure your rolling skills are there. As you get your feet on the ground, you can use the free mat time to work on more advanced concepts and to prepare for ranking exams.
Do not resist a technique or think about countering a movement as a beginner. Be open to learning that which is presented as it is presented.
Please remember to pull your attendance card each time you train. This is how you qualify for taking our ranking exams.
Enjoy being a beginner! You are taking in more information during this period than the most advanced black belt. Enjoy the process!
