This class will allow the beginning student the opportunity to start with outher beginners in a class with a beginning and an end. The purpose of the course is to give the new student a grounding in and an appreciation of the movements, history, and philosophy of this fascinating Japanese martial art.

Both men and women are encouraged to participate. No formal outfit is required, meaning sweats or loose comfortable clothing are fine. At the end of the course, the student may choose to go into ASJ's ongoing program or to be content with the information this course has provided.
