T'ai chi is an ancient Chinese exercise/meditation based upon the movements of the martial arts. The rhythmic, smooth movements encourage us to slow down and relax as we exercise. This promotes our being in a flow state in which both mind and body become one. Very easy on the joints, t'ai chi is an excellent exercise without strain that is especially good for the out of shape person seeking to get in shape and for the older athlete who wants to maintain good posture, dynamic breathing, and flexibility.

Jack Wada began his t'ai chi training in 1970 under Steven Malamuth, then immediately trained under Steven's teacher, Master Choy Kam Man. Jack was certified to teach by Master Choy in 1973. He has taught numerous classes in Santa Cruz and San Jose.

Jack is not currently teaching any t'ai chi classes, but if you are interested, you can reach him at Jack@aikidosj.com or call (408) 294-3049
