Aikido

Adult program

Adult classes are taught most days by Jack Wada Sensei or by a senior student. All classes are open to all levels of skill or experience.

Instructors demonstrate and explain, then students practice what they’ve been shown, with the guidance of both the instructors and more experienced training partners.

Whatever your level, you and your partners will find your own pace together; mutually adjusting the speed and intensity of your training, so that each student can practice safely and enjoyably.

Beginners

For newer people we offer “Beginner Basics” sessions several times a week, usually before an Adult class. The Basics class give you a chance to get some extra warm up time and a chance to focus on basic movements, review of falling, rolling and slower paced training than Adults.

Youth programs

Our Youth programs are divided into Kids (5 to 12 years old) and Teens (13 to 18).

Students 16 and up with a 4th Kyu ranking may also attend the Adult classes with permission.

Tai-Chi

We are offering a beginning Tai Chi class.

Classes taught by Jack Wada, who began his study of Tai Chi, formally T’ai Chi Ch’uan, in 1970. He was certified to teach in 1973 by Master Choy Kam Man. He is also a 7th degree black belt in Aikido, and has been granted the shihan title by World Aikido Headquarters, ie Hombu dojo in Tokyo.
